WonHundred Word Wednesday: “She had to find the necklace before. . .”

This week’s prompt for our 100 word story is: “She had to find the necklace before. . .”

 

This was absolutely the last wedding Jenessa was planning. There had been crazy things before, but today had been disastrous. The bride decided—last minute, mind you—that there was a particular piece of jewelry she had to have. Jenessa had scrambled from one end of the city to the other. She had to find the necklace before the wedding luncheon.

She finally found it.

All for nothing.

Jenessa had dealt with terrible brides before, but this one took the cake. And the presents.

And apparently took the best man too.

The wedding was cancelled in a shout-fest.

Never. Again.
